Fatigue does not always scream. Often it whispers. And if you don't hear it, sooner or later your body will shut you down itself. Through apathy, tears, illness, or breakdown.
Here are the first signs that you should slow down:
- You constantly crave sweets, coffee, or “something to eat.”
- It's hard to focus on simple things.
- You read one sentence three times.
- Someone asks you for something, and it irritates you.
- You lose inspiration even for your favorite activities.
- You don't want to respond to messages and calls.
- Your head feels foggy, and your body feels tired, even after sleeping.
- You increasingly just want to be left alone.
- If you recognize yourself in this, it's not the end. But it's definitely time to slow down. No guilt, no heroism.
A small step: at least half a day of silence, one evening without screens, a walk, warm tea, slow music.
Because preventing a breakdown is always easier than recovering from it!
